Alongside the Local Plan review, the Council is continuing to progress the update to the Site Allocations Local Plan, which sets out its approach to sites where significant future development is expected.
The Council has already carried out two rounds of public consultation and engagement on the draft Site Allocations Local Plan in 2020 and 2021/22. Work on the Plan is on-going and to inform its development we are carrying out a further ‘call for sites’ exercise to establish if there are any additional sites potentially available for allocation.
At this time, the Council are seeking the following sites:
Sites submitted will be assessed to determine whether they are suitable and deliverable, before being considered for allocation.
Please submit your completed ‘call for sites’ form, as well as a map with the site clearly outlined on an Ordinance Survey base map, by 5pm on the 13th January 2023.
Please return your completed form by email to PlanningPolicy@camden.gov.uk with the title Camden Local Plan Review Call for Sites.
It is important to note that even if we identify land as having potential for development, this does not indicate or confirm that we will allocate the site for development or that we will grant planning permission in the future.
Local Green Spaces
We are also inviting communities in Camden to propose areas of open space for designation in the Plan as Local Green Spaces. These green spaces should meet the following requirements set out in national policy:
If you would like to propose a local green space that meets these criteria then please complete the Local Green Space form, and provide a map with the site clearly outlined on an Ordinance Survey base map, by 5pm on the 13th January 2023.
Please return your completed form by email to PlanningPolicy@camden.gov.uk with the title Camden Local Plan Review Local Green Spaces.
Sites submitted to us will then be evaluated to determine whether they meet the above criteria, before being considered for designation.
